Feminist Network of Artificial Intelligence in Latin America and the Caribbean

Call for Concept Notes 2025

We catalyze innovation and research in artificial intelligence based on human rights and centered on communities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Call for Concept Notes 2025

This call aims to promote an artificial intelligence ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean based on feminist principles, dedicated to actively dismantling historical and systemic inequalities related to gender, race, class, ethnicity, ability, language, and geography—fostering comprehensive justice and improving the collective well-being of historically marginalized communities.

Some of the structural challenges this call seeks to address include gender-based violence, access to justice, health, education, and sexual and reproductive rights, labor rights, access to a healthy information environment, socio-environmental justice, and the preservation of language and culture in Latin America and the Caribbean, among others. We look forward to receiving proposals that offer viable, long-term contributions to the region's social, economic, and environmental problems.

We invite concept notes for projects at different stages of maturity: AI Seeds, AI Prototypes, and AI Pilots. Download the document for more information!

The projects will receive funding and will be supported by members of the Feminist Network on Artificial Intelligence in Latin America and the Caribbean throughout the process.

Submission deadline: November 9, 2025
